CDL encourages deep exploration of an individual's artistic voice through technique classes, composition exploration and repertoire work. In this 4 day workshop, dancers will be invited to learn from professional dancers in intimate contemporary workshops.

Dancers 13+ who participate will be considered to earn a full scholarship to CDL’s annual summer intensive in Toronto!

Tuition:

4-day 480 regular/ 400 early bird (sign up by March 31)

Preliminary Hours:

Thursday June 11 & Friday June 12: 

4:30 PM – 9:30 PM 

Saturday, June 13 & Sunday, June 14:

How does the pop-up lab differ from CDL’s other intensives?

The pop-up lab offers dancers a glimpse of the training and experience offered at a full CDL intensive! During this lab, we will focus on various topics in contemporary dance, including floorwork, improvisation, repertory and technique!

Why attend the pop-up Lab?

The pop-up lab is built for dancers who want to experience something new and grow their own artistic identity! If you are curious about what a career in professional dance is like, this is the program for you.

Can I attend some of the pop-up lab?

Yes! You can sign up for a singular day! This flexible feature specific to the pop-up lab allows adaptability for everyone’s busy schedule!

What if I want to attend the summer intensive in Toronto, but want to be considered for a scholarship through the pop-up lab?

Everyone 12+ is welcome to apply for the summer intensive if interested! Applying for the summer intensive in Toronto does not disqualify you from the scholarship through the pop-up lab. We have a separate process for financial aid for the Toronto summer intensive that a dancer can apply for.
